Dear friends,

A lot happened this week in Beira. Although the nights were not too good because there is a lot of noise in the area around Chico’s house. Barking dogs (sometimes they go on for 2,5 hours and right beside my window without glass), loud music (especially last Friday when it was liberation day here in Mozambique) and drunk neighbors who almost beat their children to death. Very interesting neighborhood.

Dear friends,

It is very complicated to be on internet. We have been traveling for 5 days, with literal ups and downs (hills) and very slippery roads through the rains. But all went well and I counted the number of places I slept: 9 different houses and beds.

One story I don’t want to withhold from you: In Thowe (where our school feeding takes place) I slept in a mud house (local house), of course alone in a “room” but I did well under my portable musquitonet and at my small portable matras.

Dear friends,

A week can go so fast when you are having fun. Today I finished the last day of teaching, it was a very good week in which the Holy Spirit has been working so much. Of course it is a kind of challenge to stay focused when children walk in and out, wet the floor (you know how) and would like some attention from their parents who are in class.

Hallo lieve bidders,

Een berichtje uit het noorden van Mozambique. Het is hier erg koud, voor Mozambique maatstaven. De leider van de Jeugd met een Opdracht basis loopt zelfs met handschoenen aan. We zitten in een heerlijke omgeving; echt prachtig en ik logeer bij oude vrienden, Frank en Sandra in hun spiksplinternieuwe zelf gebouwde huis.
