Africa...
A part of the world a long way from here? Or a part of the world that is close to your heart? Despite the many needs in Africa -such as hunger, aids, violence (including serious sexual violence) and war- it is still a wonderful part of the world. It has some beautiful scenery, exceptional wildlife and very friendly and lovely people. In order to bring this beautiful Africa, and especially Mozambique, out of the shadow, and in order to do something about the needs that there, Sarinha has opened the Sarinha Care department. Under this name we are busy setting up a prayercenter and bibleschool for and in Mozambique. This will take shape in the Sarinha Center.
Jesus came to earth with a Mission and called us to follow Him with works that are even greater than those which He did. Clothed and filled with the same Spirit we may go and witness to a land in need.
From the Netherlands Laura, the co-ordinator of Sarinha, organizes teaching and prayer trips to Mozambique. This work takes place alongside the activities of Sarinha Food (in Thoe). Three trips were made this year, as you can read under the heading Travel or Prayers. Besides Laura there is also a co-ordinator in Mozambique, specially for Sarinha Care, and he is called Francis Felix Nhamauta (Chico). He will travel into the various districts in order to teach people and call them to pray for the land. He also co-ordinates the use of our prayer centre, where prayer will go up as often as possible. Additionally he teaches and co-ordinates several bible courses, such as the Foundations of Faith.
We have placed ourselves in the service of the churches in Sofala, Mozambique. We want to serve them by providing theological education and teach them on prayer and spiritual warfare. We will also offer the churches the possibility of allowing those with a clear prayer ministry to go with us on prayer trips within Mozambique. Do you want to be kept informed of our work? Take a look at the rubric Prayers, for example or subscribe for the newsletter via the subscribe page (please note: the newsletters are in Dutch). With friendly greetings, The Sarinha Care team
