Sarinha Care
Africa...
A part of the world a long way from here? Or a part of the world that is close to your heart? In order to bring this beautiful Africa, and especially Mozambique, out of the shadow Sarinha has opened the Sarinha Care department. Under this name we are busy setting up a prayer centre and bible school for and in Mozambique. This will take shape in the Sarinha Centre.

[Jan2009] Dit schooljaar zullen de leerlingen van de Waldheim Mavo in Baarn zich inzetten voor de kinderen in Thowe, Mozambique. De eerstejaars beten het spits af door rondom kerst kaarten te verkopen. De opbrengst was niet mis: 637,20 euro. Laura is in alle klassen geweest om een presentatie te geven waarna de leerlingen zich mochten uitleven in een rollenspel. Een verloting tijdens Sinterklaas leverde ook al 200 euro op dus ze zijn goed op weg. De planning is dat in maart/april de overige klassen zich gaan inzetten om maaltijden te verdienen voor Sarinha waarna Emily Dijkhuizen, zelf 3e jaars leerling van de Waldheim het bedrag persoonlijk in Mozambique kan gaan overhandigen.  Leerlingen uit klas 1 kijken naar de promotiefilm van Sarinha.
 Slapen op een matje onder een kapalana is toch niet zo comfortabel als in je eigen bed. |
