Welcome to the Sarinha Website!

We are a young organization involved in food distribution in Mozambique, and also in praying for and in Mozambique. You can find more information about  both of these topics on this website. Information about food distribution, including all that this involves, can be found under the heading Sarinha Food; everything to do with the prayer work is under Sarinha Care. It is a fundamental principle of ours that we use the money entrusted to us in the best way possible. We work only with volunteers and rent no office space. Our desire is to be totally transparent in the giving of any information you may require.

Our target group is the children of Mozambique;  the food which we distribution is therefore directed specifically towards schoolchildren. This way we try, in a small way, to realize 2 of the millennium objectives, as formulated in the year 2000. Please see our "Mission Statement" on this website.

We are also concerned with children in Holland; we want to teach them in a relaxed and interactive way  about children of their age group in Africa, who are less fortunate than we are. In this way we help them to be more aware of the many needs in the world we live in. Please enquire about presentations being held in your area, available for adults and children.

There is a lot to discover on this website: information, entertainment, moving stories. I hope that this leads to you becoming involved in the work that Sarinha is doing in Mozambique.
