Landbouw ontwikkeling

Sarinha’s vision is to help the local population by increasing their harvest yield; besides helping them with the distribution and sale of what they have grown. In Mozambique this is not something that will happen automatically; amongst other things the soil is not good. Some background about the project can be found under "Projects", pages Agriculture and Agriculture Research.

In 2008 an agricultural inspection was set up in order to gain an overall idea of how it may be possible to implement improvements. (The report can be found here.) Partly based on this report Sarinha plans to start an agricultural project in Thowe in 2009. The idea is to lay out a test garden so that the population can learn new ways of cultivation, and see how this can increase the harvest.

The Coordinator Agriculture Development (CAD) will be responsible for developing agriculture projects, in close coordinations with our people in Mozambique. Projects have to be defined and budgetted. The Coordinator Agricultural Development will also supervise the performance of the projects, preferrably in Mozambique. If required, the Coordinator Agricultural Development will attend a board meeting to inform or advice. Together with the daily board the Coordinator Agricultural Development will provide budgetary guidelines for the department and guards the budget.

Stagiaires

Mail naar info 'at' sarinha.org.
